Brightwood by Tania Unsworth

This is a book that, had I read it as a child, I think that I would have found it delightful, imagination-inspiring, and just scary enough. As an adult, I found it a little disturbing.


A Fierce and Subtle Poison by Samantha Mabry

In all honesty, the verdict is still out on this book. I'd be really interested to hear the perspective of Puerto Rican readers, and/or readers with more experience with Latinx stories. I wish my thoughts were more coherent - but I'm just really conflicted.
